Oh, there are too many to list... The character introductions, the sabre chomp, the orange flag 45, the final ensemble dance feature... I could go on and on.
Why FIG?:
I have always believed in making color guard more accessible to performers after high school. FIG is a place where performers can still get on the floor but also work and go to school. We're about creating art and friendships and lifelong memories.

Favorite part of Who. What. Where.:
The beginning of Act 3: Rebecca's toss through the weapon spiral
Why FIG?:
FIG is always going to be the spot to encourage people to continuing spin in a fun environment. I love seeing members find that “click” when they get a new skill or seeing their personality shine through the silly moments. FIG allows the members to be who they truly are and lifts them up.

Why FIG?:
I love the environment we’re creating where the performers can have a space to spin while also having a life and being able to focus on academics. I also love the art we create as a staff and watch the performers have fun and explore their skills!

I love all the fun little cameo moments and how everyone’s personalities shine through! I also love the very last phrase of the show and the final whodunit reveal!
Why FIG?:
I was initially drawn to the happy irreverence of the name “Flags In a Gym.” A colorguard can mean a lot for its members: fun, exercise, art, escape, a safe place to be yourself and enjoy community. I love that such beautiful, human things can be our priority, and those flags in that gym are the way we achieve them together

Favorite WG Shows:
Collins Hill 2010 “The Wall”

The sabre chomp, but the orange flag 45 gives me goosebumps every single time.
Why FIG?:
I was lost after I decided to leave teaching to pursue my career. I missed teaching, but knew I couldn't commit to a scholastic schedule. I took a leap of faith and reached out to Jenney. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I get to spend my time with a staff and performers who make me a better person, all while I get teach some cute twirls!

Why FIG?:
The environment here is one of Human first. Color guard second. We ALL share a passion for spinning and we know how life can be. It’s an accepting home for all peoples and has individuals grow at their own pace, doing things we’ve previously said “I can’t” to “I did”.
